It’s time for 2024 membership renewals! As we move into 2024 we reflect on what a great year 2023 has been for the breed.

It’s time for 2024 membership renewals! As we move into 2024 we reflect on what a great year 2023 has been for the breed. We have seen an increase not only in registrations, but in transfers and new memberships as well. We are looking forward to expanding more into 2024 and reaching more producers.


ANNOUNCEMENTS


  • New Address – Reminder, RRCA has a new address. All mail should be directed to PO Box 260, Kearney, MO 64060


  • 2024 Membership Renewals – we are asking all members, new and returning, this year to return payment with the enclosed membership application completed. We would like to ensure all records are current, so all communications are making their way to you.


  • Updated Website – Design by Shauna has done a fantastic job giving our website a facelift! Be sure to check it out and share with your friends. The link has not changed, www.romagnola.net


  • Cattlemen’s Congress – RRCA members have collaborated and will be on site during this year’s Cattlemen’s Congress in Oklahoma City, OK. A bull will be on display as well as a table with RRCA information and handouts January 4-7, 2024. Members are encouraged to visit if they are able. If you would like to be involved with the display, please contact the office to get connected. Information on the Congress can be found at www.cattlemenscongress.com.


  • 2024 Annual Meeting – The 2024 Annual Meeting will be hosted by President Arba Word in Higgins, TX. Lunch will be served at 12:00pm with the meeting to follow at 1:00. Additional details will be available with the call for nominations in January 2024.


  • DNA Testing – The NCBE office works closely with Neogen for DNA testing. RRCA members who would like to incorporate Parentage, Color (homozygous black), Horn/Poll and Beef Profile testing into their management can now submit samples through the RRCA office. An updated form is included that allows for DNA test selection. Supplies can be ordered from www.neogen.com/categories/sampling-equipment/. The office can assist with any questions you may have.
