Welcome to the American Romagnola Cattle Association

WE BEGAN WITH THE BREED

The Romagnola breed originates in Italy. They are a draft breed with a gentle demeanor coupled with an ability to adapt to any climate. The first Romagnola cattle came to the United States from Italy in 1972. They were exchanged exclusively between a handful of original U.S. breeders for almost 30 years. In the mid-1990's, they became available to the public, but their rise in popularity didn't start until the early 2000's.

WE FOCUS ON THE BREED

We didn't start out as the American Romagnola Cattle Association, we've evolved into it. Over the years, the name has changed but the focus on this superior breed of cattle never has. With several Romagnola associations around the world, we are now established as the American Romagnola Cattle Association.

We are a growing association, so it is important that we maintain focus on our Romagnola breeders and their cattle. No matter the changes in ranching, politics, food supply, etc., ARCA's first priority is helping our members be successful in their individual operations.
